You can also see the tram from Ober Gatlinburg as it passes below our cabin’s mountain location. Our romantic rental cabins have a beautiful, private mountain setting, yet they’re minutes to Gatlinburg downtown shopping and many fine restaurants. The property borders the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you can even walk down to Cove Mountain Trail and enjoy a hike. We parked at the trailhead of Laurel Falls once and hiked into our cabin, or you can head on down the trail and it comes out at the Sugarland’s Visitor Center. Black bears, white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, and raccoons frequently visit our cabin. 

Cuddle Shack is located in Chalet Village, just minutes to Gatlinburg downtown dining or shopping, the Ober Gatlinburg Ski Lodge or the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. About 20 minutes to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. About 1 hour to McGee Tyson Airport in Knoxville.

Secluded cabin in the woods

My husband and our two grandchildren (11 & 4) had the best time at Cuddle Shack! The kids loved their space upstairs with the pool table and hot tub off the deck. It’s so roomy. The kitchen is well stocked and the dinnerware has a mountain theme. After busy days at Ober Gatlinburg and the aquarium, etc. the kids loved to cool off at one of 3 community pools with it’s slide. And to top it off, we had a bear come and visit everyday! I wish I could post pictures of their astonishment and excitement!! Such great memories. None of us wanted to leave. Thanks Rebecca. You have a perfect/private getaway cabin!

Private Cosy Retreat

Just spent a week in Cuddle Shack and it was marvelous! It’s the last cabin at the end of the road and completely private. The cabin is clean and lovingly taken care of. Had great communication with the owner who was friendly and quick to respond to a question. Excellent WiFi signal which was important because unfortunately I had to stay connected with work through the week but it was no problem. Loved the outdoor hot tub and loved the indoor one too! Glad to have laundry available after hiking through a few days of rain. The bed was comfortable and though I only turned on the tv once for about 1 hour, there were dozens of channels to choose from. I wouldn’t want to traverse the roads in snow or ice but we had no trouble. Had all we needed in the kitchen and two coffee pots to choose from! Wish I could have stayed longer!

Secluded Cabin in Mountains

We really enjoyed our stay and it fit exactly what we were looking for. The hot tub and pool table were great to have at the cabin and the king size bed was very comfortable. Like others have said the drive to get there isn't the easiest but once you do a few times its not bad. With the trees being full at this time of the year, the views weren't as great but to be expected for June. One thing I wish would have been mentioned was what type of grill the cabin had since we weren't aware we needed to bring charcoal. Overall this cabin was great and would recommend to others.

This was an amazing place. It felt as if we were on top of the world and secluded.

We found ourselves feeling as if we were on the top of the world and very secluded. We took the round about mountain curves to find our wonderful cabin. The view of the Smokies was amazing with beautiful sunrises. From a distance we could see Gaitlinburg. We stood on the deck one night looking DOWN on fireworks. It was a perfect place to stay.

bear country

When my wife and I got to the cabin and settled in we went outside and sat on the deck. We hadn't been out there a half an hour before we had a bear come up under the deck. Later on that night we had a deer at the cabin, and the next night a coyote was in the driveway. The cabin is far enough to see all the wildlife and close enough to enjoy Gatlinburg. we will definitely be wanting to stay here again

I'd give it more stars if possible.It was fabulous. Our stay was wonderful. It was the cleanest cabin I've ever stayed in. It was decorated perfectly. Exstreamly pleased will be back again.

Great place!

Perfect location with a beautiful mountain view! The place was clean, had an awesome hottub outside on the balcony, and a pool table! Easy 12 minute drive to the main strip & 20 minutes drive to all kinds of hiking trails!

Wonderful, romantic, private cabin.

We had a great weekend getaway at the cuddle shack! Everything was neat and tidy and very accommodating. Hopefully we will get to return one day!

Quiet, cozy getaway!!! That view though....!

You just keep going up into the Smokey’s! The view and location was perfect. Very peaceful and relaxing. Less then 15min to downtown Gatlinburg. House was extremely clean and is much bigger than the pictures. Great getaway and will hopefully be back soon!

The cabin is perfect!!

We had a great time at the "Cuddle Shack!" Everything about it is very 'homey.' Next time we visit that area heowever we'll go during a less popular time! Apparently xmas and new year is a very popular time and we'd prefer less traffic on vacation (coming from Orlando area!) The view was amazing ! The drive to get TO this amazing view was pretty scary...again , coming from FLAT Orlando area, so it could be just us.!
